We believe in one
Triune God and we acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of
sins. We are saved by Grace and Grace alone; there is nothing anyone
can do to earn such a gift. Luther Memorial practices open
communion; anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and
Savior is encouraged to receive communion with us.
Luther Memorial is
focused on developing relationships with the community and
neighborhood through the Clothes Closet, Food Pantry and Community
Easter Egg Hunt. Members of Luther Memorial were instrumental in
developing a "Thrivent Builds" Habitat for Humanity program in Adams
county. The group built their first home
in 2006; it was in Golden, 2007 saw the completion of the 2nd home in
Mendon, groundbreaking for the 3rd home was in June 2008 in
Coatsburg.
We know all people
are different; everyone looks different and behaves differently.
Some are younger, some are older, we all have one thing in
common, we are all sinners. Sinners; young or old, rich or poor,
fair skinned or dark, regardless of orientation, male or female are
all welcome to worship at 12th & Jersey, Luther Memorial Church in Quincy
Illinois.
