Community Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agency that is fully supported by the generous contributions of the members of Luther Memorial Church. We are open every Tuesday morning from 9:00-11:00.

Due to our small size, we can only provide emergency services to our community. So that we may serve more of our neighbors and to make sure we have sufficient supplies on hand, we limit our pantry use to no more than six times a year and only once in a given month. If you need help more often, please let us know and we will help you find appropriate resources.  Please call or email the church office for food pantry guidelines.

Community Clothes Closet

Jan Smith and family started the Clothes Closet.  It's a beautiful ministry that serves hundreds of people in Quincy and the surrounding area.  Its a source of clothing when and when ever the need arises for children and adults.  Jan has been known to make "midnight runs" to the church to put together clothes for fire victims & children being removed from unsafe family environments.  The Clothes Closet  keeps regular hours on Tuesday mornings.  Anyone unable to afford clothing is invited to stop by.

Community Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Egg hunt is hosted by the LYO, it has grown from a small event for church members to a rather larger event open to the community.  We start with a snack inside while waiting for everyone to arrive, then head outside and blow a whistle to start the mad dash of 100's of candy seeking kids.  Everyone gathers back at the church, opening their eggs, hoping to find one of the "Special Eggs".

Health Ministries

The Health Ministries Team looks out for our physical health while Pastor looks out for our spiritual health.  The Health Ministries Team hosts an annual Health Fair, Red Cross Blood Drive and monthly blood pressure screenings.  Cathy Dieker, an active member of the Health Ministry Team frequently attends nationwide youth trips as the camp nurse.
